Location: Hybrid – 2 days per week in Huddersfield Town Centre

Contract: Temporary (3 months, with potential for extension)

Pay: £280 per day

Are you an experienced SEND professional looking for your next challenge? We are seeking a dedicated EHCP Casework Officer to join the Placements & Tribunal Team within a dynamic local authority setting.

In this key role, you will:

  • Manage a caseload of children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
  • Coordinate person-centred, outcome-focused EHC needs assessments and reviews
  • Draft clear, accessible Education, Health and Care (EHC) Plans
  • Ensure all work complies with national legislation and local policy
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to schools and settings
  • Conduct and process annual reviews within statutory timescales
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with parents, schools, and practitioners

Tribunal & Placements Focus: Working within the Placements & Tribunal Team, your responsibilities will include preparing SENDIST Tribunal submissions, managing complex case files, and securing appropriate specialist placements.

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice and EHCP statutory processes
  • Proven experience managing complex caseloads
  • Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with families and professionals
  • Experience with Liquid Logic case management system (desirable)
