GMP Recruitment are proud to be partnered with a specialist property lawyer firm located in Hereford. Due to current expansion plans and a new, refurbished office in the heart of the city, we are recruiting several support staff to join their business on full time, permanent contracts, starting in July/August 2025.
We are looking for an experienced Legal Secretary to join their team on a full time, permanent contract, working Monday – Friday, office based. On offer is a highly competitive salary based on relevant experience, of £25K upward.
The successful candidate for this role will be a professional secretary with experience in a similar legal assistant/administrative role, with excellent typing and dictation skills and excellent client service skills. It is preferred you have residential property knowledge/experience.
Legal Secretary main duties:
- Preparing straightforward legal documents
- Dealing with initial client enquiries
- Typing of correspondence, photocopying, filing, scanning, and opening new files
- Managing the Fee Earner's diary
- Preparing files for billing
- Organising electronic files within our case management systems
- Dealing with client's matters where appropriate
- Supporting in all areas of work where appropriate
Legal Secretary required skills and experience:
- Previous secretarial experience, ideally within residential property
- Excellent administration, typing and dictation skills
- Ability to remain calm, polite, and focused when dealing with various situations
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to produce high-quality work under pressure
- Excellent IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft packages
