Our Client is a large prestigious company within builder centres supplying fencing, timber, and building materials. With over branches, expanding across London and the South East of England. They are looking for a HGV HIAB driver to join their expanding company. Become an integral member of a longstanding, reputable company with extensive industry presence.
Main Duties
- To undertake the safe, secure and efficient movement of materials and equipment using HIAB crane required for the business.
- Performing deliveries and collections to and from the customer sites, and other locations as required.
- Representing the company in a professional and courteous manner at all times to customers, the general public and other road users.
- Check equipment is loaded/unloaded in a safe manner.
- Ensure that the total payload does not exceed vehicle weight limit.
- Use approved methods to secure the load of the vehicle.
- Check paperwork to ensure that delivery/collection loads are correct.
- Ensure that all equipment on the vehicle is accounted for.
- Visually inspect equipment being loaded and unloaded.
- Working for various companies, throughout East Sussex.
Qualifications And Experience
- Holds a full clean driving licence valid in the UK, with no more than 6 points on Licence.
- Holds a HGV Driving Licence.
- Holds a CPC Licence.
- Holds a valid HIAB Licence with hook and brick grab.
- Holds a Digi Tacho Card.
- Good personal presentation.
- Able to carry out manual handling tasks.
- Previous experience within builders merchants sector.
Working Hours
Mondays to Fridays 07.30 to 17.00 and alternate Saturdays 08.00 to 12.00.
