Are you an experienced CNC Turner/ Programmer looking for a new opportunity? Pertemps are exclusively working with a well-established business in North Birmingham. We are seeking a skilled CNC Turner /Programmer to join the team in the manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for programming and setting up computer numerical control (CNC) machines to fabricate metal and plastic parts.
The duties will include:
- Develop CNC programmes for vertical XYZ turning machines.
- Develop tooling and fixtures needed for smooth production.
- Carrying out quality inspection of parts to ensure they meet specifications.
- Assisting other team members and departments when available.
- Utilise logic controllers to adjust machine settings for optimal performance.
Requirements:
- Proficiency in using Siemens programming systems for CNC turning machines.
- Knowledge of other programming systems such as Fanuc and Mazatrol is a bonus.
- Ability and willingness to impart knowledge on apprentice CNC setters.
- The ability to measure and inspect components accurately is essential.
- Mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting and maintenance of CNC equipment.
- Strong understanding of basic maths for measurements and calculations.
