Spider is advertising on behalf of a national highly respected electrical wholesaler for an experienced 7.5 Tonne Driver/ Van Delivery Driver to join their team in Peterborough, Cambridgeshire on a full-time, permanent basis. This role will require a hard-working and motivated individual to work within an experienced team to ensure deliveries get to customers efficiently and professionally, as well as booking goods into the warehouse.
Your role will include, but is not limited to:
- Deliver customers goods in a safe and efficient manner. May have to lift heavy products or parcels.
- Keep accurate records of deliveries and customer authorisation and ensure all documentation is filed appropriately.
- Keep company vehicle clean and ensure it is well-maintained, has fuel, oil and is ready to drive.
- Assisting with the unloading of vehicles and the checking in of stock.
- Sorting and placing materials or items on to racks, and shelves.
- Collecting items from throughout the warehouse, preparing and completing warehouse orders for delivery or pickup according to a schedule.
This is a full-time position offering a salary of GBP13.50- GBP15.00 per hour (depending on experience), paid monthly with the opportunity to earn an annual profit share bonus. 25 Days holiday and working 40 hours across opening hours of 7am to 5pm, Monday to Friday and 8.00am to 12pm Saturdays, on a rota basis.
As the 7.5 Tonne Driver/ Van Delivery Driver, you will have good knowledge of the Peterborough and surrounding area and must hold 7.5T licence, Digi tacho card and a valid CPC. Occasionally may need to deliver outside of a 50-mile radius, which will be agreed in advance. You will need to be confident when speaking to a variety of people, able to follow procedures and be the face of the company when delivering.
