We’re hiring a Field Application Engineer (FAE) to provide frontline technical expertise across pre-sales, solution delivery, and ongoing customer support. This is a hands-on, customer-facing role focused on advanced RF systems — ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of engineering, networks, and customer success.
You’ll work closely with sales, engineering, and customers to ensure smooth technical delivery from first conversation to final deployment, both in the UK and internationally.
What You’ll Be Doing- Provide expert technical support across the full sales cycle (pre-sales and post-sales)
- Join customer meetings to scope, advise, and demonstrate technical capabilities
- Deliver and maintain high-quality customer training programs
- Act as a first-line technical contact for troubleshooting and escalation
- Prepare technical task plans, reports, and maintain accurate documentation
- Support live demonstrations, tradeshows, and field events
- Ensure health, safety, and quality standards are upheld at all times
- Work cross-functionally with engineering teams to stay aligned on capability and delivery
- Report to the Customer Experience Manager and support sales objectives through technical enablement
- Degree or equivalent technical education
- Strong knowledge of RF systems and the RF spectrum
- Solid grounding in networking principles (e.g., TCP/IP, routing, diagnostics tools)
- Hands-on experience in field engineering and technical delivery
- Proven ability to deliver structured customer training
- Working knowledge of safe practices, including risk assessment
- A proactive, technically credible professional who thrives in front of customers
- Excellent communicator — both written and verbal — with strong interpersonal skills
- Able to balance competing priorities and think on your feet
- Comfortable working independently and with cross-functional teams
- Willing to travel regularly across the UK and internationally to support customers, demos, and training sessions
