This is a visible, hands-on role where you can make an immediate impact, improving reporting, shaping a capable team and helping to steer performance at a strategic level.The Opportunity

As Finance Director, you will take full ownership of the finance function and play a key role in strengthening and modernising financial management across the group. You will:

• Deliver accurate, timely management accounts, forecasts and margin analysis to the MD and shareholders.
• Restructure, manage and develop a five-person finance team, building capability and accountability.
• Manage cash flow, controls and compliance in line with shareholder expectations.
• Provide clear, commercial insight that supports operational and strategic decision-making.
• Focus on what truly matters, ensuring key financial deliverables are met and that finance drives business performance, not just reports on it.

• Fully qualified CIMA, ACA or ACCA.
• Proven experience at Finance Director or senior leadership level within manufacturing or a closely related industrial environment.
• Track record of leading finance in an SME setting, ideally involving multi-entity or international operations.
• Confident in delivering timely management information and ensuring robust financial control.
• Experienced in team leadership, with the confidence to restructure and develop capability where needed.
• Hands-on, commercially sharp and focused on the big picture rather than getting lost in the detail.
