About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Employment Law Solicitor to join our dynamic private practice, with the flexibility to work fully remote from home. The caseload is predominantly claimant-focused, covering negotiated exits, tribunal claims, and settlements. There's a strong flow of quality leads, with around 25–30% converting into active cases. You'll be fully supported by a team of PAs and paralegals, meaning you can focus purely on legal work without the admin.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advisory Services: Provide high-quality advice on a range of employment law issues to individual and corporate clients, including employee rights, contracts, dismissals, grievances, and discrimination cases.
  • Case Management: Handle a varied caseload independently, from initial consultation to case resolution, ensuring excellent client service and compliance with legal standards.
  • Dispute Resolution: Represent clients in employment tribunals, mediations, and other dispute resolution processes as needed.
  • Documentation: Draft, review, and amend employment contracts, handbooks, policies, and other relevant legal documents.
  • Client Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, delivering timely, practical solutions tailored to client needs.
  • Compliance: Stay current with developments in employment law and advise clients accordingly to ensure regulatory compliance.

Requirements:

  • Qualification: UK-qualified Solicitor with a minimum of 2 years PQE in employment law within private practice.
  • Technical Expertise: Comprehensive understanding of employment law with proven experience in advising clients and handling cases independently.
  • Client-Centric Approach: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients, providing clear, practical, and commercially viable advice.
  • Self-Motivated: Ability to work independently, manage a caseload remotely, and stay organised in a flexible work environment.
  • Advocacy Skills: Confidence in tribunal representation and other formal proceedings is a plus.
