Legal Counsel (England)

Black Swan Group have been retained for a new Legal Counsel for a new self regulatory body being formed.

The Legal Counsel will be both the key legal resource person for the organisation and hold a manager-equivalent position in the organisation. They will be responsible for leading the legal evaluation of diverse regulatory issues, provide legal advice, risk assessments for policy recommendations, and advise the Board on decision-making processes in accordance with corporate governance laws. They will also work with external legal counsel to seek specialist advice and coordinate litigation (if required). This role requires a UK or equivalent foreign legal qualification with 5+ years of post-qualification experience.

The business is being set up as a self-regulatory organisation to govern the sharing of individuals credit data in the credit information industry.
