Event Operations Manager START DATE: ASAP JOB TYPE: Full-time (Including weekend work) SALARY: £30k – 35k (Depending on experience) Manchester (Travel is involved for events) TYPE OF WORK: Events/Office-based/Remote working/Logistical EXPERIENCE LEVEL: 2+ years event experience at managerial level We are always on the lookout for development opportunities, moments to grow, while helping our staff reach their potential. We are looking for a candidate to manage and support the delivery of cutting-edge and professional mass-participation running events. You shall complete the daily tasks of event management to include, but not restricted to event planning, venue management, and ensuring high-standards are maintained in relation to the preparation and delivery of events. Maintain and develop relationships with venues, councils, traffic management contractors, businesses etc. Create and update event management plans and risk assessments. Complete relevant event applications, e.g. road closure applications. Conduct official course measurements for new event courses. Lead the course team on event days, ensuring that courses are correctly set up and packed down. Being the lead cyclist for events where appropriate. Passionate about physical activity and running. Full driving licence. Ability to work independently and remotely during the week.
