Role Overview:

We are looking for a highly motivated, organised, and analytically minded Junior Account Manager to support our growing B2B distribution business. This person will play a critical role in managing and growing our retail partnerships—overseeing everything from item setup and sales pitches to visual merchandising and forecasting. You'll be the key liaison between Cupid Trade and our retail partners, ensuring smooth operations and driving performance across multiple accounts. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys wearing multiple hats, and is passionate about beauty and retail. You will work closely with our Buying, Merchandising, and Operations teams to bring best-in-class products to our retail partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Retailer Account Management
    • Act as the day-to-day point of contact for assigned retail accounts
    • Build and maintain strong external relationships, acting as a trusted partner and advocate for our brands
    • Manage multiple internal and external points of contact with strong communication and follow-up
  • Catalog Management, Item Setup, and Onboarding
    • Own product catalog setup and maintenance across all retailer systems, including product information, images, pricing, and updates
    • Ensure timely submission of new product listings and seasonal updates
    • Coordinate and track the onboarding process for new brands launching with retailers; act as the key liaison between brand and retailer teams to ensure timely setup, compliance, and launch execution
  • Sales & Business Development
    • Proactively track and analyse sales performance across retail accounts
    • Identify gaps and opportunities to improve sell-through and grow retailer revenue
    • Collaborate with the Buying team to stay on top of the latest K-Beauty trends and emerging brands, proactively recommending new product opportunities to retail partners
    • Report on b2b sales, key metrics, and insights to internal stakeholders
    • Assist in preparing sales materials and presentations to pitch new launches or categories to existing partners
    • Identify and recommend new retail accounts that align with Cupid Trade’s growth strategy
  • Forecasting & Inventory Planning
    • Partner with buying and merchandising teams to forecast inventory needs per retailer
    • Prepare and issue invoices, while monitoring on-time payments across retailer accounts
    • Monitor stock levels and recommend replenishments or discontinuations in partnership with merchandising team
    • Stay on top of retailer promotions and seasonal demand trends
  • Operational Execution & Problem Solving
    • Investigate and resolve chargebacks, returns, and operational discrepancies
    • Liaise with the warehouse team to ensure accuracy and timely dispatch
  • Visual Merchandising & Store Support
    • Coordinate visual merchandising needs for retailers with physical stores
    • Lead the design and approval process for trays, displays, and signage
    • Ensure brand standards are upheld in-store
  • Policy & Process Management
    • Stay current on retailer requirements, platform changes, and compliance policies
    • Keep accurate records of retailer terms, order histories, and account communications

What We’re Looking For:

  • 1–2 years of experience in account management, wholesale, buying, or a related field (ideally in beauty, fashion, or consumer goods)
  • Exceptionally organized with strong attention to detail
  • High level of curiosity and enthusiasm for learning about account management and b2b sales
  • Comfortable managing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
  • Strong communicator and relationship-builder, both internally and externally
  • Commercially minded, with a desire to grow sales and contribute to team targets
  • Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets; experience with order management systems and product catalog systems is a plus
  • Passion for beauty and an understanding of product trends; familiarity with Asian/Korean beauty is a plus.
  • Proactive mindset with a can-do attitude, eager to contribute in a fast-paced environment.

Benefits:

  • Mentorship and professional development within a dynamic beauty retail company.
  • Exclusive access to new Asian beauty products before they hit the market.
