Required to join a friendly Reservations team, to work for our client, a hotel, located in the Eastbourne area. This role is offered on a 32-hour week, you will be working over 4 or 5 days out of 7 days to include weekends and bank holidays on a rota. The reservations department is open from 08.00hr to 20.00hr daily. Live in is available if required for a period of up to 6 months for relocation, and this would be deducted from your salary.

Responsibilities for the role of Reservationist:

  • You will be working within an enthusiastic and friendly Reservations team, taking all room sales enquiries via telephone or via email.
  • Ensuring that all guest room bookings and dinner reservations are dealt with in a flawless and professional manner and ensuring that upselling and exceeding expectations is part of your day to day role.
  • You will be familiar with all hotel facilities and be confident in promoting and recommending these to our guests.
  • Hours are 32 working over four or five days out of seven which will include weekends and bank holidays. The office is covered from 8am to 8pm so shifts will be varying around these hours.

Requirements for the role of Reservationist:

  • Previous experience as a hotel reservationist or receptionist preferred.
  • Good customer service and interpersonal skills essential, enabling you to work efficiently within a close team.
  • An excellent and confident telephone manner.
  • Possess an excellent command of the English language, both written and verbal.
  • Enthusiasm to learn and the ability to hit the ground running with a smile on your face is essential.

Salary for the role of Reservationist is given as competitive/hr. A share of the service charge is paid on top of this basic salary. Please send an up to date copy of your Curriculum Vitae. Candidates must be eligible to live and work in the UK.
