Our Client based in Carlisle is looking for warehouse operatives to join their busy team. You will be a vital part of every parcel's journey, working in all parts of the warehouse, scanning, sorting and loading all sorts of parcels.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Sorting items by hand into compartments on a sorting frame.
- Bagging and labelling parcels for its destination.
- Moving mail around the office between conveyor belts, loading docks and trolleys.
- Moving mailbags from cages, sorting mailbags and bundles of mail into cages.
- Loading and unloading wheeled containers from vehicles to the dispatch areas.
- Scanning parcels.
Requirements:
- Must be physically fit as you will need to be comfortable loading trailers and lifting and carrying.
- Have a good level of English Language both written and spoken.
- Be IT literate and confident in using scanners/computer.
- Have safety boots and hi-viz jacket.
- Previous experience in a similar position will be desirable.
Shift pattern: 5:00PM to 9:00PM
Pay: £13:00 P/H
