My Oxford based Client is urgently recruiting for a driven and highly organised Events Manager or Project Manager with strong stakeholder management skills and experience delivering end-to-end events. You will be responsible for planning, executing, and evaluating events that meet strategic objectives, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage comprehensive project plans and Gantt charts for multiple concurrent events.
  • Lead and facilitate workshops with internal teams and external stakeholders to align objectives and define event outcomes.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders, sponsors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure seamless event execution.
  • Prepare and deliver professional presentations and proposals for internal approvals and client engagement.
  • Monitor project progress, manage risks, and ensure all deliverables meet quality standards.
  • Post-event evaluation including stakeholder feedback and performance analysis.

About You

  • Proven experience managing events or projects from concept to completion.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate at all levels.
  • Strong organisational and planning abilities, proficient in project management tools and Gantt chart creation.
  • Skilled in facilitating workshops to gather input and align stakeholders.
  • Confident preparing and delivering proposals and presentations.
  • High attention to detail, multitasking ability, and calm under pressure.
  • Knowledge of budgeting, timelines, and event operations.

Desirable

  • Experience in corporate or agency events.
  • Familiarity with tools like Microsoft Project, Asana, Trello, or similar.
  • A background in marketing, communications, or business is advantageous.

This is an 18 month contract, based in Oxford on a hybrid basis for an initial 18 month fixed term contract paid on a salary basis.
