First Line Manager – Nights Pay Rate: £35,949.05 plus an additional 20% payment for hours worked between 10pm and 6am.Contract Type: Temp to PermShift patterns: 4 on, 4 off – 6pm – 6amLocation: Allington – ME16 0LERapier Employment are seeking a Transport First Line Manager to play a vital role coordinating our daily logistics requirements.WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?Oversee and support the performance of drivers to ensure they meet the established Key Performance IndicatorsEnsure all transport operations are carried out in compliance with safety regulations and legal requirements, while maintaining operational efficiency.Make necessary changes to daily transport plans if issues arise to ensure smooth operationsProactively address and resolve any issues related to transport operations or coordination with the warehouse to minimize delays and maintain productivity.Lead daily briefings and debriefings with drivers to communicate important updates, safety information, and expectations for the shift.Manage Driver performance to identify any major discrepancies in accordance with the Daily Transport PlanEnsure drivers and the fleet comply with all relevant legal, safety, and operational standards, ensuring smooth and lawful operation throughout the shiftWHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?We'd love to hear from you if you have the following experience but don't hesitate to apply if you don't tick every box on this page – we're great at spotting talent and potential in everyone:Previous and practical experience as a Transport Supervisor or Team Leader within a logistics environmentComprehensive knowledge of supply chain practicesPrevious experience of the preparation and distribution of volume ordersComputer literate with a practical knowledge of logistics software packagesExcellent organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to supervise, organise and train direct reportsA recognised qualification in Supply Chain Management or Logistics will be well-receivedBecome a warehouse colleague with Rapier today!Make the leap to a better future!Apply now by emailing your CV to
