An exciting opportunity has become available for a dedicated HR professional to join our clients team based in Oxfordshire. This role is to join a thriving secondary school and to manage the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources Team. This position is fully based onsite within term time, participating in team meetings, events and learning development sessions.
Your focus will be on managing HR administration, including recruitment, inductions, absence management and payroll. You will oversee ER casework whilst ensuring all HR processes align with Trust policy and statutory guidelines. You will also report to the headteacher for operational requirements. You will liaise with the central HR team and provide HR related advice and support to other staff. Over time, you may have the opportunity to support other schools within the Trust.
What skills/experience are required?
- Proven and demonstrable experience working in a school's HR environment and personal interest in working to support children's development
- Previous experience in managing complex employee relations cases and supporting the recruitment process
- Excellent organisational skills and confidence building strong working relationships
- Existing HR Operations Manager or Business Partner experience or an experience as HR officer, advisor or manager ready to take the next step in your career
- Level 5 CIPD qualification or equivalent demonstrated experience
- A strong and thorough understanding of working within the educational HR legislative framework and best practice
- Excellent communication skill and the ability to manage others.
This position is within a very fast paced environment that involves a variety of duties. You must be a multitasker and be able to prioritise your workload accordingly.
