Our client is an established and successful business based in Sunderland. They are looking for an Import / Export Coordinator to join their team on a full time, permanent basis. If you meet the person specification for the role, please apply below.
The role you will be doing:
- Coordinate carrier collections for all modes of transport, including Road, Sea, and Air ensuring timely and efficient despatch.
- Investigating late, delayed, lost, and damaged deliveries and working closely with customer service, providing resolution to customer satisfaction.
- Facilitating claims with couriers and freight forwarders.
- Ensure proof of export is obtained, properly documented, and filed in compliance with shipping regulations.
- Provide accurate and timely freight quotations.
- Preparation of shipping documentation and keeping up to date with country requirements.
- Handling inbound telephone calls from couriers and customers addressing queries professionally and efficiently.
- Clearance instructions for imports and consulting with warehouse to schedule deliveries.
- Maintaining and updating Shipping database, ensuring all records are accurate and current.
About You:
- Experience working within a shipping or logistics role.
- Proficient in Microsoft software applications.
- Professional telephone manner with excellent verbal communication skills.
- Strong team player with the ability to meet targets and prioritise tasks effectively.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, fostering strong working relationships.
