We are working with a global manufacturing business based in North Manchester who are looking to expand their Demand Planning team. This is an exciting opportunity for a planner with a passion for FMCG to take ownership of key planning processes and play a pivotal role in ensuring product availability, optimising stock levels, and supporting business growth.

The Role:

  • Continuously reviews the Sales/Production forecast of defined portfolio of a country or a group of countries in short, mid, and long term, in quantity and value.
  • Orders items from production sites, suppliers, and co-packers, and follows up deliveries in order to fulfil the sales/production plan in timing and quantities.
  • Communicates, manages, and solves actual and potential supply issues.
  • Develop and manage demand and supply plans across the product portfolio.
  • Maintain optimal stock levels to balance availability and inventory costs.
  • Identify supply chain risks and drive proactive resolution strategies.
  • Collaborate closely with procurement, manufacturing, logistics, and commercial teams.
  • Maintains and periodically reviews planning master data in SAP and IPB to implement adequate forecasting model, replenishment, and stock strategies.
  • Responsible to achieve agreed SFD, stock levels and CSL, monitors ICSL, SSL for the defined portfolio.
  • Coordinates co-packing activities with main focus on availability, saving costs, production schedule and raw material replenishment.
  • Ensures the sales forecast input from other departments is on time and accurate (promotions, launches, delisting).
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance supply chain performance (process improvements, new SCM solutions, support to central tenders).

Requirements:

  • Professional training in business administration or comparable and at least 5 years’ experience in SCM functions.
  • Detail driven.
  • 2 years’ experience in Demand planning in consumer goods company or B2B is a plus.
  • Confident working with forecasting and planning tools (e.g. SAP, Excel, ERP/MRP systems).
  • Knowledge of IBP and BI.
  • Basic financial knowledge.
  • Strong understanding of end-to-end supply chain processes.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
