The Technical Manager will be working on a 200+ units residential scheme in Hoxton. As Technical Manager, you will lead the BSA submission through the gateways, to site, delivery and handover. The leading residential contractor is looking for a technical manager who can show experience of working on high-risk buildings over the 18 metre mark.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ability to prioritise as appropriate, motivate and communicate to influence others to ensure that the required objectives are met.
- Leadership skills including being decisive, flexible, good time management, organised, effective, works well under pressure and to strict deadlines.
- Experience and understanding of maintaining technical schedules.
- Ability to review drawings and identify buildability and technical issues.
- Project and process management.
- Problem solving and decision making.
- Design delivery and assessing risks.
- Effective communication with all levels of management and project teams, both internal and external to the Company.
- Ability to coach and train junior and new team members in technical processes and procedures.
- Passionate about customer satisfaction, house building and construction, with a focus on high standards and excellence.
- Knowledge and understanding of regeneration in mixed tenure developments.
- Written and verbal communication skills.
Deliverables:
- Coordinate Technical and design processes, design teams and subcontractors throughout detail design, procurement and construction, monitoring progress to ensure delivery on time and in budget.
- Technical design coordination of schemes, ensuring that the maximum revenue is generated by the quality, cost effectiveness and buildability of the design.
- Assisting Technical Managers with reviewing of consultant’s detail design drawings and subcontractor designs.
- Coordinating consultants and their deliverables driving a high standard.
- Ensuring that designs comply with Company’s standards.
- Promoting design that respects budgetary constraints.
Salary - £75,000 - £85,000 + Package
