They are now looking to expand their close-knit team with both Skilled and Semi-Skilled Furniture Makers who are passionate about craftsmanship and quality. This is a fantastic opportunity for experienced makers who take pride in working from raw materials through to beautifully finished, high-end furniture pieces. You'll join a professional and supportive workshop team focused on precision, creativity, and excellence.
Location: Northampton
Salary: Up to £18.00phr (depending on experience)
Hours: 07:30am - 18:00pm, Tuesday to Friday
Key Responsibilities:
- Craft custom furniture pieces using a variety of woodworking machines
- Use both hand and power tools to complete bespoke projects
- Work with premium materials including solid hardwood, veneer, laminate, melamine, and solid surface
- Read and interpret technical drawings with accuracy
- Collaborate with a team or work independently on high-spec assignments
- Occasionally assist with on-site installations for specialist projects
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Bench Joiner in a workshop environment
- Level 2 Diploma in Furniture Making or equivalent
- Proven ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Proficient in the use of woodworking machinery and a variety of hand tools
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to high standards of workmanship
- Flexible and adaptable to work on various types of joinery items
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- A positive and proactive attitude with a willingness to take ownership of tasks
