Freelance Site Engineer – Holiday Cover (Steel Frame)
Location: Oxford
Duration: 2 Weeks (Holiday Cover)

We’re looking for an experienced Site Engineer to provide holiday cover on a live steel frame building project in Oxford. This is a short-term contract, ideal for someone with solid experience in setting out and QA for steel structures who can step in and keep the project progressing smoothly during the absence of the lead engineer.
Key Responsibilities:- Setting out for structural steel and associated works
- Conducting QA checks and maintaining records
- Liaising with the site team and subcontractors
- Ensuring all work is delivered to specification and safety standards
- Proven experience working on steel frame structures
- Relevant engineering qualifications
- CSCS card
- Own equipment preferable (if not, please advise)
- Able to hit the ground running with minimal handover
