Empowered Personnel is recruiting HGV Class 1 Tramper Drivers to join a trusted and well-established logistics partner to Amazon based in Melton Mowbray (LE14). This HGV Class 1 Tramper role is ideal for drivers based in Leicester, Nottingham, Loughborough, Grantham, or surrounding areas.
What the HGV Class 1 Tramper Drive Involves:
- Driving modern, well-maintained Class 1 vehicles (predominantly box trailers)
- Tramping: typically 5 to 6 nights out per week with a well-planned schedule
- Completing nationwide trailer swaps between Amazon RDCs – no multi-drop
- No manual handling or handball – all work is clean and straightforward
- Using the Amazon Relay app for assignments – full training provided via smartphone
- Regular and consistent routes – minimal waiting times due to streamlined RDC processes
- Representing both Empowered Personnel and the client to a high professional standard
HGV Class 1 Tramper Drive Requirement:
- Minimum 6 months’ Class 1 (C+E) driving experience
- Valid CPC and Tachograph cards
- Maximum 6 penalty points (no DR or IN convictions)
- Experience using the Amazon Relay app is desirable but not essential
- A professional, reliable, and safety-conscious attitude is a must
HGV Class 1 Tramper Daily Rates of Pay:
- PAYE: £150 per day
- LTD / Umbrella: £190 per day
- LTD Drivers Welcome – Client is IR35 Exempt
