My client has experienced rapid growth in the Transmission & Distribution sector over the past decade, securing several major UK projects. As the demand for exceptional engineering design continues to rise, they are seeking a Senior Electrical (P&C) Engineer to join their dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities
- As a Senior P&C Engineer - HV, you will report to the Discipline Lead - HV and ensure the quality and consistency of your team's output.
- You will be involved in producing and controlling drawings and technical documents, as well as assisting the Power Sector Director during the bid process to secure new projects.
What You'll Do
- Design and produce single line diagrams, key line diagrams, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications for HV projects (11kV - 400kV).
- Manage project deliverables through a robust checking process.
- Support CAD technicians in drawing development and project delivery.
- Guide junior engineers and support their technical tasks.
- Prepare, check, and approve feasibility studies, technical reports, and detailed design documents.
- Manage teams of engineers and external suppliers to deliver work on time and within budget.
What My Client are Looking For
- Qualifications: Minimum BEng/BSc in Electrical Engineering (Power/HV background). Ideally MEng/MSc.
- Skills: Proficiency in software like MathCAD, ETAP, DigSilent, PSS/E, and ERACS. Experience with AutoCAD and Revit.
- Experience: Strong background in protection & control design for HV projects. Familiarity with IEC standards and technical specifications from clients such as National Grid, SSE, Scottish Power, and others.
- Attributes: Enthusiastic, mature, good communicator, and capable of working independently and within a team.
