We are looking for an experienced Senior Quality Inspector to lead the day-to-day activities of the inspection team within a precision engineering environment in Rugby, Warwickshire. You will be asked to ensure high quality standards are achieved and maintained across all production processes.
This is a day shift, 38 hours a week, Monday to Thursday 6am-4pm. Salary is up to £45,000 p/a.
The Senior Quality Inspector will provide leadership and direction to the team, oversee training and performance of inspection personnel, and ensure robust adherence to AS9100 quality assurance standards. You will be supporting the Quality Manager in reviewing and maintaining the QMS and operating Mitutoyo Crysta Apex CMMs using MCOSMOS software.
You will be hands on, inspecting precision machined components using CMM, scanners and first principal methods, conducting thorough inspections of in process and final products to ensure conformance.
The Senior Quality Inspector will develop and maintain inspection plans and work procedures to support and drive continuous improvement initiatives. You will also assist with root cause analysis and corrective/preventative actions (CAPA).
You must have at least 4 years recent experience in a similar role as a Quality Inspector in a precision engineering environment. You must have thorough knowledge of AS9100:2016 Quality management standards. You must be proficient in Mitutoyo CMM programming using MCOSMOS version 5 software.
You will need to demonstrate good communication, organisation and a proactive work approach. You must have strong problem-solving skills and a big commitment to continuous improvement. You must be willing to be based on site Monday to Thursday in Rugby, Warwickshire.
