Mechanical Design Engineer\\nFull-time | Office-based | Salary negotiable depending on experience\\n\\nMy client is a reputable M&E contractor based in Derby, who are looking to expand their team with the addition of a Mechanical Design Engineer.\\n\\nThis is a vacancy ideal for an experienced designer who can support the estimating team by developing initial quotations into Stage 5 construction-ready designs. You’ll play a key role in delivering technically sound and commercially viable mechanical solutions across a range of building services projects.\\n\\nThe Role:\\n\\n * \\n\\n Progressing tenders into fully developed mechanical designs\\n\\n * \\n\\n Attending client meetings and design team discussions\\n\\n * \\n\\n Producing detailed mechanical drawings and specifications using CAD\\n\\n * \\n\\n Working collaboratively with the estimation team to ensure designs are aligned with project budgets\\n\\n * \\n\\n Identifying and delivering value engineering opportunities\\n\\nRequirements:\\n\\n * \\n\\n Strong mechanical building services design background\\n\\n * \\n\\n Proficient in CAD and design software\\n\\n * \\n\\n Confident communicator with experience dealing directly with clients and external consultants\\n\\n * \\n\\n Ability to manage workload and contribute to design development within a fast-paced environment\\n\\n * \\n\\n Knowledge of both pre-designed and D&B project workflows
