Location: Glasgow

Salary: Up to £70 000 plus car / car allowance, pension and healthcare

Due to a number of significant contract awards, our client, a well-regarded civil engineering contractor based in Glasgow with a low staff turnover, has a current requirement for Pre Construction Manager . This pivotal role involves managing the preconstruction phase of various high-profile projects, ensuring meticulous planning, programming, and coordination to achieve successful project outcomes.

Your duties as Pre Construction Manager will include:

• Leading the preconstruction phase for a variety of civil engineering projects
• Developing, managing, and monitoring project programmes, ensuring key milestones are achieved
• Collaborating with design, estimating, and project teams to ensure cohesive and comprehensive project planning
• Ensuring preconstruction activities align with company standards, client requirements, and regulatory obligations
• Overseeing risk management, value engineering, and technical reviews during the preconstruction phase
• Liaising with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to coordinate schedules and ensure project readiness

• A Minimum qualification of HND Civil Engineering
• Previous experience in a similar preconstruction management role, or a Site Agent / Project Manager looking to take the step up
• Previous experience working on civil engineering projects with strong knowledge of construction processes
• Proficiency in project programming tools (preferred)
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail, with the ability to foresee risks and implement effective solutions
