Vickerstock are working in partnership with a food production firm on the appointment of a Health and Safety Officer .

As a Health & Safety Officer, you will support the business in implementing Health & Safety policies and procedures, and meeting all legal obligations whilst ensuring the Health, Safety and well-being of the workforce.

In your new role:

  • Offer support and Health & Safety guidance to managers, team leaders and staff
  • Assist in the development and implementation of company policies
  • Maintain compliance with applicable Health & Safety regulations
  • Perform Health & Safety audits, inspections and incident investigations
  • Prepare and maintain accurate reports as required
  • Carry out Risk Assessments and develop appropriate follow-up action plans
  • Conduct internal audits and support external audit processes
  • Follow and reinforce all Health & Safety protocols
  • Deliver internal training sessions and coordinate external training where necessary
  • Uphold and actively promote the organisation’s core values

What you will need to succeed:

  • 2+ years’ experience within a similar H&S role
  • Relevant Health and Safety qualifications (NEBOSH, etc)
  • Experience with report writing, auditing, RAMS
  • Good communication skills
  • IT and numeracy skills (MS Office)
  • Full clean driving license

Desirable (it would be great if you have this, but don't worry if you don't):

  • NEBOSH Diploma or Degree
  • Experience within the food industry
