Blaymires Recruitment is working in partnership with a respected external envelope contractor based near Portsmouth who is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their growing team. The company delivers a wide range of cladding and recladding projects across the UK, with project values ranging from £1M to £20M.
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will take the lead on commercial performance across all projects. You will provide vital commercial support to Project Managers and Junior Surveyors, helping manage risk and ensuring financial outcomes meet or exceed targets. This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior or Managing Quantity Surveyor with a background in façades or main contracting to join a forward-thinking and well-established business.
Responsibilities of the Senior Quantity Surveyor:- Manage the financial control of projects valued between £1M - £20M
- Work under JCT contract conditions
- Submit applications for payment in line with contract terms
- Produce monthly cost reports and forecasts
- Prepare and issue delay notices as per contractual requirements
- Process monthly subcontractor payments
- Identify, value, and manage variations
- Settle final accounts with main contractors
- Conduct site measures
- Mentor and support Junior Surveyors
- Proven experience in cladding, glazing, or roofing is advantageous
- Solid knowledge of JCT and/or NEC contracts
- Minimum 5 years experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor
