Your mission
We are looking for a motivated and experienced Design Manager to work on the design of the Sizewell C (SZC) nuclear power plant, as well as our future pipeline of projects. You will provide your expertise to successfully deliver our projects, in collaboration with clients, contractors, stakeholders and our project teams.
Your key responsibilities
- Leading project teams, providing guidance and support to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Developing and executing project plans, including scope, schedule, cost, risk management, and communication plans.
- Facilitating communication and co-ordination of information to stakeholders, including project team members, clients, and senior management.
- Supporting and mentoring members of the team, to help them develop individually and to meet our collective goals.
- Identifying and mitigating project risks.
- Supporting our Contract Managers in the preparation of claims and variations.
- Developing strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Supporting the engineering discipline leads, to develop training plans and strategies for increasing our capability in the UK.

To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate would meet the following requirements and criteria:
- Bachelor's or master's in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Design or Technical Management experience, preferably for major projects in highly regulated industry, e.g. nuclear.
- Background demonstrating strong technical skills in your field of engineering, with experience in delivery technical packages.
