Make an Impact at RSM UK. RSM has ambitious and bold plans to grow our successful Consulting business, which is responsible for over one third of RSM's overall revenues. Crucial to the success of this is the delivery of our digital change programme, to support Consulting's objective of being a Digital First team. Substantial work has been done to define a digital strategy and technology roadmap for Consulting. Due to the need for maternity cover, an exciting 12-month fixed-term role has arisen to drive forward the existing and planned portfolio of technology projects for Consulting.
The role will sit within National Technology (RSM's internal IT department) but will be entirely focused on helping Consulting to deliver its portfolio of crucial technology projects. Therefore, strong experience of taking ownership of and driving a portfolio of existing and planned IT and digital projects is crucial, as well as the ability to contribute to the Consulting strategy development and solution discovery.
You’ll make an impact by: The chosen candidate will collaborate outside of Consulting with National Technology colleagues responsible for related projects in other parts of the business such as audit and tax. They will also work closely with technology delivery specialists within the firm, and within our technology suppliers, to bring the right resourcing and delivery approach to bear for each Consulting technology project.
What we are looking for: Are you someone who thrives on variety, loves learning new things, and enjoys connecting with people? If you can spot inefficiencies in everyday life and are passionate about making improvements, this role is perfect for you! We value diverse experiences and perspectives. Here’s what we’re looking for in our ideal candidate:
- The preferred candidate will combine strong interpersonal skills (with demonstrable experience of working with and influencing very senior stakeholders) alongside the proven ability to oversee and guide a portfolio of diverse technology projects at varying states of maturity.
- They will be capable of acting as primary point of contact for more than a dozen key Consulting technology projects.
- Candidates will need to demonstrate the ability to understand and apply the organisation's digital strategy and apply the key principles to the day-to-day oversight of technology projects within the Consulting service line.
- Working in conjunction with the Consulting Digital Lead and the firm’s Chief Digital Officer, they will take primary responsibility for overseeing the delivery of technology projects, agreeing on project and delivery timescales, and communicating decisions, priorities, and project information to service lines.
In summary, the preferred candidate will be an experienced technology project portfolio leader, who can combine the tracking and oversight of multiple IT and digital projects with the ability to report and summarise the status of these to senior stakeholders, as well as shaping and influencing the next wave of technology projects to support the Consulting growth strategy.
What we can offer you: We recognise that our people are our most important assets. That’s why we offer a flexible reward and benefits package that will help you have a fulfilling experience, both in and out of work.
