Purpose of the Job: The role sits within the Tax Compliance and Regulatory Reporting department. The team provides, implements, and operates a comprehensive Regulatory Reporting service that meets the needs of JTC clients, under the supervision of the Associate Director/Manager within Jersey and other JTC offices.
Main Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assist in overseeing the regulatory reporting department operations through planning, delegating, coaching, recruitment, and workload control, ensuring a professional service for clients (internal and external) and intermediaries.
- Oversee and approve FATCA/CRS returns.
- Support internal stakeholders via the business-wide AEOI queries process and provide technical input into the Entity Close Off/Transfer process.
- Manage and coordinate the Regulatory Reporting process, monitor progress, and provide regular status updates to clients regarding reports and deadlines.
- Lead the review of new regulatory reporting legislation, develop strategies, and implement them to help JTC clients remain compliant; include training provision.
- Manage and support team members, assess performance, and promote JTC's values within the team.
Other Responsibilities:
- Assist senior management in identifying and mitigating tax risks affecting the business and develop solutions.
- Handle communications promptly on new business inquiries, explaining and promoting Group resources and services.
- Undertake ad-hoc projects and produce related reports.
- Adhere to Risk & Compliance procedures related to regulatory requirements and AML legislation.
- Meet CPD requirements per qualification level and internal procedures.
- Uphold JTC core values and expected behaviours.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Essential Requirements:
- Qualified ACCA / ICAEW / ICAS / ATT/CTA (or equivalent).
- Expertise in AEOI regimes.
- Management experience is an advantage.
- Experience managing FATCA/CRS return preparation and submission.
- Experience with multiple regulatory reporting regimes, especially in jurisdictions where JTC operates.
- Proactive self-starter attitude.
- High accuracy, excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines with multiple priorities.
- Collaborative team player.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to work independently under pressure.
- Project management experience with multiple stakeholders.
