This position reports directly to the Managing Director as part of the Retail team of Bulgari UK, based at Head Office. The main objective of the Retail Merchandising role is to ensure a focused and cohesive product assortment in Bulgari's stores within the UK, optimizing stock, driving sales, and exceeding customer expectations.
Job Responsibilities
- Market and Product Knowledge
- Analyze competitor trends, market dynamics, and pricing strategies within the luxury jewelry, watches, and accessories sectors.
- Monitor sales performance through quantitative analyses and qualitative feedback from retail teams and customer interactions.
- Conduct in-depth analyses to identify business opportunities, assess risks, and understand customer preferences.
- Develop actionable plans in collaboration with Retail, Training, Customer Service, Product Categories, and HQ teams to meet sales targets and strategic goals.
- Perform regular store visits to gain first-hand insights.
- Work with the Central Merchandising and Supply Chain teams to refine sales forecasts based on market trends and product performance.
- Act as the liaison between stores and product category teams, ensuring effective communication.
- Coordinate with F&A Team on activities like buy-back, rebalancing, seasonal store closing, urgent and intercompany sales to optimize stock and costs.
- Define the OTB budget for stores, aligning with company strategy and regional guidelines.
- Monitor and control orders and replenishment to adhere to stock level objectives.
- Support stores in buying decisions to ensure a curated, relevant product offering that meets customer needs and strengthens store identity.
- Adjust product zoning and assortments based on sales data and regional requirements.
- Collaborate with Demand and Supply Planner to optimize stock management.
- Coordinate with F&A Team on activities like buy-back, rebalancing, seasonal store closing, and sales to optimize stock and costs.
- Verify delivery and availability of new product launches across stores, collaborating with relevant teams for successful launches.
- Work with Visual Merchandiser to optimize product visibility and presentation.
- Contribute to creating engaging product animation plans with Retail, Training, E-commerce, and Marketing teams.
- Maximize stock allocation opportunities to reduce depreciation of goods.
Profile
- Ideally 2-3 years of experience in retail merchandising or planning within a luxury retail environment.
- Highly analytical with strong organizational, communication, and presentation skills.
- Commercially aware with a passion for luxury goods and the Bulgari brand.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Influential, entrepreneurial, and pedagogical approach.
- Detail-oriented in analysis but concise and action-focused in communication.
- Team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
