About The Opportunity: Have you ever considered a role working in the Energy and Power market? Wondering how you can develop and deploy your skills in a new and exciting sector? Our UK and Continental Europe team is growing and we’re looking for an experienced Engineering Manager who can lead and support our team of electrical designers as part of our design & build projects with key contractor clients. This includes work on transmission system assets, HVDC interconnectors, energy storage systems, inertia systems, wind farms and advanced facilities for mission critical industries in the technology and process sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Plan, execute, and complete engineering design projects, ensuring they align with organizational goals and standards.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and manage design teams, fostering collaboration and high performance.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that all design work meets National Grid and industry specifications and standards.
  • Continuous Improvement: Promote and implement innovative solutions and improvements in engineering processes.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure project alignment and success.

Here's what you'll need:

  • A Bachelor of Science in a relevant engineering discipline from an ABET-accredited engineering school.
  • Strong leadership skills to manage teams and projects effectively.
  • Deep understanding of engineering design principles and practices, particularly in the energy sector up to 400kV.
