Tax Senior Manager | Private Business at PwC UK – Edinburgh, Scotland, United Kingdom. The Private Business team provides corporate tax advice to privately owned and Private Equity backed businesses, working with owners and management teams on UK and international tax matters including shareholder issues. Our team values curiosity, collaboration, and knowledge sharing to deliver best-in-class service.

As a key member of a growing team, you will work closely with Private Business Partners and Directors to develop new client relationships (including household-name clients) and identify opportunities from within the market.

What Your Days Will Look Like

• Ownership for a diverse and broad portfolio of client engagements, advising on tax technical issues for privately owned and private equity portfolio companies.
• Developing significant market relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
• Collaborating across the firm to deliver complex projects and events.
• Maintaining an expert level of relevant UK tax knowledge (and overseas considerations), including changes in tax law and legislation.

The successful candidate will demonstrate initiative, drive, and the ability to lead a growing team, maintaining deep, trusted long-term client relationships and market contacts.

Qualifications

• Must possess ACA and/or CTA qualification (or international equivalent).
• Up-to-date UK tax knowledge with some overseas tax knowledge.
• Experience with complex tax issues facing privately or family-owned businesses, private equity portfolio companies and business owners.
• Project management skills, able to manage several client projects simultaneously.
• Stakeholder management and coaching ethos.
• Excellent written communication, including reports and technical memos.
