QUALITY SPECIALIST III
Responsibilities:
- Proactively improve process and product quality to increase First Time Through (FTT).
- Establish Critical to Quality (CTQ), Key Process Characteristics (KCC), Key Control Characteristics (KCC), control plans, and FMEA.
- Enhance customer satisfaction by reducing claims, remakes, scrap, and deviations from standard work.
- Develop a framework for data collection and analysis to detect and resolve quality issues, preventing recurrence using appropriate quality tools and strategies.
- Stabilize processes and implement process controls (SPC) to maintain process capability through statistical methods.
- Develop expertise in inspection, measurement, and sampling methods; lead efforts for method improvements (MSA).
- Maintain policies and procedures related to standards like AS9100, AS9120, Nadcap, ISO9001; provide training and lead audits.
- Review supplier audit findings, communicate performance, and discuss corrective actions.
- Maintain quality records, customer documents (PPAPs, VAPs, Control Plans), and manage non-conforming materials.
- Perform quality audits and ensure timely resolution of corrective actions and customer claims.
- Maintain supplier quality requirements as needed.
- Perform additional duties and projects as assigned.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma required; four-year college degree preferred.
- At least four years of relevant experience.
- In-depth knowledge and skills in quality management and processes.
- Ability to solve moderately complex problems and work independently.
- Experience with AS9100 and ISO9001 audits.
- Familiarity with aerospace and medical customer requirements is a plus.
- Understanding of engineering principles, standards, and disciplined problem-solving methods.
- Expertise in quality system management, audit, and corrective action processes.
