Cedar is supporting a Local Authority that is looking to hire an Interim Category Officer for their ICT & Digital category. This home-based role is a 3-month contract with the potential for extension and will operate INSIDE IR35 with a day rate of up to £300 .
The successful candidate will work within the ICT & Digital team, supporting Category Managers in developing and issuing ITT documentation, advertising tenders, ensuring compliance, and achieving value for money for the Authority. The role involves managing strategic and operational procurements and renewals, typically valued around £50k up to the threshold value.
Candidates applying MUST HAVE:
- Experience in a similar role within the UK Public Sector
- Understanding of the new Procurement Act (advantageous)
- Experience in requirements gathering for ICT & Digital projects
- Experience using Public Sector Frameworks such as CCS\’s G-Cloud, DOS, Tech Services (advantageous)
