The Role

Lead in executing British Land policies to provide an efficient, safe, and innovative environment for occupiers and visitors, maintaining and protecting asset value. Ensure all areas are well presented, clean, and safe, leading fabric, cleaning, security, and maintenance teams with minimal disruption.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop and maintain relationships with estate retail and tenant representatives, encouraging open communication and coordinating works.
  • Manage building service charge budgets, management accounts, and schedules, adhering to RICS standards.
  • Maintain regular dialogue with stakeholders about maintenance, budgets, and issues.
  • Liaise with external parties and statutory bodies to coordinate activities.
  • Lead operational readiness plans, incident management, and handling complaints, claims, and disputes during incidents.
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, emergency procedures, and legislation.
  • Conduct audits of landlord areas to uphold cleanliness and presentation standards.
  • Lead sustainability, biodiversity, and waste management initiatives.
  • Procure services following procurement policies.
  • Support estate retail occupiers in compliance requirements.
  • Ensure fire safety, access equipment, and water treatment manuals are up-to-date and compliant.
  • Manage building service contracts, monitor standards, and liaise with providers.
  • Oversee maintenance schedules and capital replacement programs.
  • Coordinate reactive maintenance with the Technical Services Manager.
  • Manage and develop the building team and onsite personnel.
  • Align with British Land’s vision and values in service delivery.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Senior Property Manager.
