The Technical Sales Manager will be responsible for developing the water business within the assigned geographical territory. There will be the requirement to collaborate across group companies to maximise opportunities within Tricel’s full product portfolio in line with business strategy and through established sales processes. The role will require travel across the territory a minimum of 4 days per week conducting customer meetings, site visits and prospecting new opportunities. The role works alongside the internal sales estimators on the assigned territory to achieve the set budget sales and KPIs.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Responsible for raising Tricel’s profile within the specified area to ensure Tricel is the customer first choice;
- Present, promote and sell the Tricel portfolio of products and services to maximise opportunities for sales growth;
- Grow and maintain excellent working relationships with existing and new customers;
- Completion of site surveys as and when required to generate quotations and successfully be able to convert these into orders;
- Providing quotations based upon technical specifications;
- Negotiation of prices within the agreed pricing structure to maintain strong margins;
- Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth and differentiation;
- Participate in sales meetings, training sessions and professional development programs to enhance sales skills and knowledge;
- Self-management of weekly journey plan to maximise efficient use of time;
- Inputting accurate data into company CRM system ensuring it is up to date;
- Responsible for producing accurate reports within expected timescales;
- Any other duties, as assigned by management, to meet the needs of the business.
