you. We’re seeking a leader who shares our belief that research and insights can provide the fuel for change that pharma so badly needs. As the Head of Research & Insights, you’ll be an authority on the trends driving pharma. You understand what makes our industry tick and you have a bold vision on how it should be better. You’ve mastered the craft of research, and also have an entrepreneurial drive. You’re excited by the prospect of getting hands-on with business development (likely you’ve done this in a previous role, or possibly even tried to start something yourself). You’re imaginative, creative. You want to help us grow our world-class insights team and strategize how to scale our services across pharma. us. Lead the research and insights team at Impatient Health Support Impatient Health’s strategy for original research in collaboration with company directors and the broader research team Set and maintain the bar for quality as the leader of a team delivering world-class insights Proactively get involved in business development, while working with sales and marketing colleagues to ensure the right strategy is growing your practice Lead, and project manage research projects, delivering insights that bring business value, alongside a great client experience Innovate and develop our existing product offering – identifying untapped opportunities Undertake qualitative and quantitative research and use these two sources of insight in parallel to inform and develop findings Synthesise and communicate research insights and findings in compelling and immersive ways – innovating the ways in which we do so Evolve our methods, tools and techniques for research and be a support to the broader team in ensuring that our research has consistent, effective, and up-to-date methods, tools and standards; Commitment to ethical research methods, which you evangelise for and reflect in the practices of the research team; about you. You are a leader, able to set a strategic direction and inspire your team to perform their best You identify at some level as an ‘entrepreneur’ you’re not scared of getting stuck into the business side of leading a division. You’re driven by targets and have commercial acumen that translate both into your approach to research analysis, as well as setting the right course for your part of the business. You are a strategic research thinker; able to look at the process of research itself – and determine a vision on how the the craft should evolve; You have knowledge of available research methods and a keen ability to distil and extract insights from qualitative and quantitative data; You have the natural ability to draw out a compelling ‘story’ behind the data and present it in an engaging and immersive way; You are an effective communicator; you have the confidence to communicate research findings across all organisational levels, both internally and externally. You have the confidence to deliver presentations to senior industry leaders; You are a connector and relationship builder whatever your approach; you’re naturally charismatic and can maintain real connections with people. You bring an existing network within pharma. You’re excited about new technology and innovation – you love to experiment with new tools to improve what you do you have. An understanding of the life sciences and/or the pharmaceutical landscape and a view on where and how the industry needs to change Uncommon and exceptional attention to detail; Ability to prioritise tasks and work towards deadlines; Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and within a team; A collaborative nature; you enjoy bouncing ideas off others; The self-awareness of knowing when to ask for help and support; Confidence to inspire a team to perform at their best, being an empathetic and nurturing leader at all times A capacity to challenge assumptions and offer solutions; Strong business acumen; you instinctively spot strategic opportunities; Incredible multitasker capabilities; you’re a natural organiser who enjoys the variety that comes with juggling multiple projects you likely also have. Experience working in management consultancy or a business intelligence company focused within pharma Some level of commercial experience – either within business development or as a former entrepreneur An understanding of strategic research methods, such as design thinking, human-centred design or workshop design and facilitation (not a deal-breaker if you don’t) benefits. ️ Work/Life Balance: We’re all aiming to strike the right work life balance.
