About The Role

We are seeking a Group Reporting and Change Manager to lead change initiatives within the IFRS Reporting and Developments team and advise on the accounting and reporting impacts of changes in products, investments, and other business activities.

This role involves implementing changes in IFRS accounting standards and overseeing the adoption of sustainability IFRS.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support on material finance transactions and projects, including mergers, acquisitions, new products, complex investments, and other initiatives.
  • Drive the implementation of changes to IFRS standards.
  • Oversee the adoption of sustainability IFRSs, collaborating with relevant teams.
  • Develop insights on technical and accounting changes affecting the Group, monitoring industry developments and competitor activities.
  • Collaborate with various departments to stay updated on business developments and external changes impacting reporting.
  • Manage change activities to improve and streamline reporting processes while enhancing controls.
  • Support process improvements aligned with reporting requirements.
  • Assist with year-end and interim external reporting within the IFRS Reporting and Developments team.

Skills & Experience

  • Qualified accountant with significant experience in a life assurance financial reporting environment.
  • Extensive life assurance experience.
  • Strong analytical skills for reviewing reporting information.
  • Technical expertise in interpreting key accounting standards and regulations.
  • Knowledge of IFRS 17 disclosure requirements.
