The world's fastest-growing sportswear brand is searching for a Senior Lead, Accounting & Reporting for North America (US, CAN) across all channels (Ecom, Retail, and Wholesale). In this role, you will collaborate with our Group Accounting & Reporting and Controlling teams at our Headquarters in Zurich, Switzerland, as well as with our local Finance team, which includes FP&A, Tax, Accounts Receivable, Finance Systems, and Controls. You will directly lead the General Ledger and Accounts Payable teams for North America, work closely with the central CoE and shared services teams, and report to the regional Head of Accounting for the Americas.
The expected continued fast growth of On and its regional footprint will require strong strategic, analytical, tactical, and leadership skills while providing ample personal and professional development opportunities. This position will be based out of our Americas HQ in Portland, OR.
Your Mission
- Directly lead the General Ledger and Accounts Payables teams.
- Ensure complete and accurate financial reporting as well as the timely and compliant month, quarterly and year-end closing and reporting processes for our US and CA entities, in accordance with IFRS.
- Collaborate with our Group Accounting + Reporting and Controlling teams at our Headquarters in Zurich, Switzerland, as well as with our local Finance team, which includes FP&A, Tax, Accounts Receivable, Finance Systems, and Controls.
- Partner with local bank relationships and work with the Global Treasury Team on financing needs, transfer pricing, custom requirements, etc.
- Own, enhance and/or develop internal controls in accordance with Group requirements in a Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) controls environment, ensuring up-to-date process and controls documentation.
- Lead and/or contribute to exciting projects and ad hoc tasks in a highly challenging growth environment.
Your Story
- 7-10 years of relevant work experience in accounting and reporting, including leadership responsibility.
- Work experience at Public Accounting Firm and/or a US public company is a plus.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field/equivalent years of experience.
- CPA License.
- Strong understanding of accounting and reporting policies and the respective process and system needs.
- Strategic, analytical, and problem-solving mindset and able to work independently and/or with cross-functional teams.
- Strong leadership skills with experience in developing and leading high-performing teams, both directly and indirectly.
- Understands stakeholder needs and requirements in a fast-changing environment with the ability to deal with deadlines and deliver based on priorities.
- Entrepreneurial and results-driven mindset with strong hands-on execution and decision-making skills.
