Site Manager – Milwaukee, WI

Responsibilities: Responsible for all aspects of the site (location, branch) operations, including safety, staffing, and customer service functions, working in conjunction with the Sales and Supply Chain teams. Essential duties include managing safety/compliance performance, packaged gas sales, welding products and hard goods sales, cylinder production, and distribution. Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Requirements include:

1. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret scientific, technical, financial, and legal documents.
2. Ability to respond to inquiries or complaints from customers, employees, regulatory agencies, or the business community.
3. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
4. Effective presentation skills for groups of managers, vendors, employees, clients, and the public.
5. Basic math skills including algebra and geometry.
6. Problem-solving skills, data collection, and ability to interpret technical instructions.
7. Ability to work in a matrix environment.

Physical Demands: Regular talking or hearing, sitting, using hands, occasional standing, walking, reaching, and lifting up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment.

Work Environment: Occasionally outdoors, exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, with moderate noise levels. Reasonable accommodations can be provided.

Education & Experience: Bachelor\’s degree from a four-year college or university; 5-10 years of related experience in site/branch operations or industrial gas industry, or equivalent combination.

Additional Requirements: Valid driver\’s license, hazardous materials training, proficiency in Microsoft Office, industrial gas knowledge, familiarity with Six Sigma and lean practices, and safety compliance training (OSHA, DOT, EPA, FDA).
