Role Summary This role reports to the Cloud and Productivity Engineering Organisation and owns the London Stock Exchange Group’s public cloud and developer architecture. You will lead a global team, define strategies, standards, and processes to enable business innovation, simplify technology landscapes, and enhance operational excellence. Key Responsibilities Drive cloud application migration and adoption, aiming to move most of the LSEG/Refinitiv estate to the cloud. Own the technical and architectural integrity of the cloud platform and ensure successful delivery of outcomes. Decommission global data centers in favor of cloud-hosted environments. Collaborate with security teams to enhance security controls. Leverage emerging technologies to simplify landscapes and improve customer experience. Define cloud and developer service strategies, standards, and blueprints. Act as a cloud evangelist to promote understanding and adoption. Build relationships across engineering teams and communicate with senior stakeholders. Perform as an Agile \’Product Owner\’ for the cloud platform. Gather and utilize feedback for continuous improvement. Required Skills and Experience Deep technical background in infrastructure technologies. Experience with SDLC, platforms like Istio, Kubernetes, and serverless architectures. Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, Rust, Go, Python. Senior experience in enterprise or solution architecture within cloud environments (AWS, Azure). Proven ability to lead technological and cultural change, promote automation, and implement cloud strategies. Strong communication, influencing, and team-building skills. Experience with PaaS/SaaS/IaaS, industry best practices, and latest cloud developments. Knowledge of operating systems, networks, RDBMS, and infrastructure-as-code.
