DESCRIPTION OF WORK

Serving as the training officer, you will have a crucial role in the success of our Children, Youth and Families\’ Services Program. Your responsibilities will include planning, developing, implementing, analyzing, coordinating, monitoring, and evaluating the program and its operations. You will also be in charge of creating and maintaining effective processes to ensure that our division employees receive valuable and practical training, utilizing all available resources and tools to review and adjust the training as needed. Ultimately, you will ensure the growth and development of our organization\’s services to better serve our community.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday – Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time up to 2 days a week, subject to operational needs. You must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will be required to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year of professional experience developing, implementing, or evaluating human services, social services, health care services, or health care insurance programs; and a bachelor\’s degree; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training that includes one year of professional experience developing, implementing, or evaluating human services, social services, health care services, or health care insurance programs.

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirement:

  • This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law. Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
