You will partner with sales and marketing teams to help them identify the best leads and understand the drivers behind new business growth. Working with the Product, customer success and retention teams you will help to identify opportunities to grow customer engagement and drive up- and cross-sell rates. The enterprise business is growing rapidly and undergoing significant changes, so this role is a unique opportunity to influence the shape of this part of The Economist’s business. From helping us to define the right KPIs and commercial model, to identifying opportunities to innovate using AI and machine learning, this is more than just another B2B analysis role. You will be working closely with a wide range of stakeholders including senior leadership, product, sales, marketing, customer success and CRM, as well as peers in the data, insights, research and strategy teams.

  • Experience analysing raw datasets in SQL is a requirement
  • Ability to tell stories and generate insight from the data
  • Welcomed candidates with relevant experience but needing to improve their technical skills by working as part of a diverse team

How you will contribute:

  • Build relationships with the enterprise subscription team to understand their needs
  • Ensure we are tracking the right data in our CRM and analytics systems, and using the right metrics and KPIs to drive business growth
  • Support regular reporting of performance across a range of metrics including lead generation and conversion, customer engagement, client retention and up-sell
  • Participate in the product roadmap process, identifying and sizing opportunities in data
  • Proactively identify insights that can improve effectiveness across the whole B2B customer lifecycle
  • Measure the impact and incrementality of campaigns and initiatives, including supporting A/B tests

Who you are:

  • Ability to examine data critically to extract meaningful insights
  • Ability to communicate findings clearly to non-technical colleagues
  • Experience producing insight from large datasets
  • Experience working with data from analytics systems
  • Experience using advanced SQL for data analysis
  • Experience working in a B2B subscription business
  • Experience working with data from Salesforce CRM and marketing cloud, and web analytics data (Google Analytics, Amplitude etc)

To succeed in the role you must have:

  • A meticulous approach to all work, completed to high level of quality
  • The ability to work under time pressure while providing high quality output
  • The ability to work on your own with conviction to prioritise workload
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • A professional, polite and positive demeanour

What we offer:

We offer excellent benefits including an incentive programme, generous annual and parental leave policies, volunteering days and well-being support throughout the year, as well as free access to all Economist content. Country specific benefits are also offered.
