Transport Team Leader

To accommodate this growth, we are seeking a dedicated, hardworking, and enthusiastic Transport team leader with a team player spirit to manage all transport-related activities and ensure the effective running of the operation, while providing efficient support to the Transport manager.

What will my role look like?

You will play a crucial role in facilitating communication and administrative tasks between operations. This entails establishing effective communication with manufacturing sites and retail partners, ensuring that both transportation and manufacturing departments are promptly informed of any schedule changes or updates regarding collection and delivery times. This will enable us to adjust routes and resource plans, ensuring optimal efficiency and effectiveness.

Role Duties:

  • Deal with all drivers-related issues on a day-to-day basis.
  • Ensure all transport legislation is always adhered to.
  • Comply with company and statutory requirements regarding Operator license, H&S, service quality, drivers’ hours, and tacho regulations, including the working time directive.
  • Brief and debrief drivers, report and investigate accidents and incidents.
  • Update driver and vehicle information and keep it up to date.
  • Support with driving duties when necessary.

Key Skills:

  • Class 2 driving license.
  • Management and people experience.
  • Ability to work across different shifts.
  • Excellent performance under pressure.
  • Good time management.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in computer skills with a strong understanding of MS Office Suite and other IT software.
