Are you comfortable managing interfaces between organisations while ensuring alignment with project objectives and safety standards? Are you skilled at collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to create organised plans, drive project success, and overcome technical challenges? Are you proactive in identifying potential risks and implementing effective solutions throughout the project lifecycle? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join us as our next Project Engineer Coordinator – DMIC here at Hinkley Point C!

At Hinkley Point C (HPC) we are building two new nuclear reactors, the first in a new generation of nuclear power stations in the UK providing low carbon electricity for around six million homes.

As our next Project Engineer Coordinator, you will support several DMIC (Design, Manufacture, Installation & Commissioning) Teams through the end-to-end Commissioning process from preparation through to completion. By blending technical expertise and quality assurance knowledge with essential project delivery skills, you will ensure that contractor arrangements align with NNB's expectations. You will oversee the fulfilment of all DMIC Commissioning prerequisites and prepare the NNB Commissioning Team for effective surveillance of DMIC Contract Commissioning. Your contributions will be vital in ensuring the project's success and adherence to the highest standards.

We’re talking about everything from enhanced parental leave to electric vehicle leasing, health insurance to product discounts, critical illness insurance to technology vouchers, gym membership to season ticket loans. Whether you’re in our office spaces, on site, or working remotely, we promote an environment that supports collaboration, connection, and comfort. We’re on an action-oriented journey, championing equity, diversity, and inclusion. We’d like our future workforce to have an equal gender balance, represent a broad mix of people from minority ethnic backgrounds, LGBTQ+, those with a disability and supporting social mobility. We’re a disability confident employer and we’ll do all we can to help with your application. We take pride in fostering a dynamic and inclusive environment, where the diverse backgrounds and experiences of our employees drive fresh thinking and innovation.

As the Project Engineer Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that supply chain partners deliver their commissioning work and documentation in alignment with contract and project requirements at every stage. Collaborating closely with internal stakeholders, you will build strong, collaborative relationships with contractors, HPC project managers, quality leads, site engineering teams, and plant operations. Your ability to foster these connections will be essential in defining and controlling the interfaces within the commissioning process, ultimately driving the project toward success.

You will report directly to the DMIC Lead Co-Ordinator within Commissioning Operations and create the DMIC Commissioning Project Plan to track deliverables and schedule adherence. Serving as the key liaison between the Commissioning Delivery Team and Project Managers, you will ensure seamless engagement and communication. Working to the Commissioning DMIC End-to-End process, you will ensure clarity and efficiency, acting as a valuable point of contact for your scope of DMIC Contracts for internal and external stakeholders.

With a robust technical or project management background, we’re looking for you to bring invaluable experience in either commissioning power plants or in coordinating multiple contractors in a complex environment. Your proven track record reflects a commitment to safety and quality cultures, ensuring that all projects meet the highest standards. Coupled with your knowledge of quality assurance and quality control requirements, you are well-equipped to navigate the complexities of this field and drive excellence in every aspect of the commissioning process.

Good commercial and contract awareness is essential to navigate project complexities within DMIC Contracts. Proven experience collaborating within multidisciplinary teams to successfully deliver projects is crucial. Qualifications such as a Degree, Apprenticeship, NVQ, HNC/HND (preferably in STEM fields or other relevant disciplines) would be beneficial, but it is not necessary. Familiarity with working in a regulatory environment, ensuring compliance with industry standards, is important. Knowledge of CDM regulations will enhance project safety and effectiveness. Hands-on experience in project management, whether as a client or contractor, within the nuclear or highly regulated industries would be beneficial.

Join us and we’ll help Britain achieve Net Zero together.
