The Manufacturing Production Supervisor is a key member of the Corporate Manufacturing Team responsible for exercising independent judgment and discretion in managing the production lines and supervising the employees working on those production lines.
Essential functions:- Direct the work of employees, assigning tasks and positions as necessary.
- Ensure that employees perform their jobs properly and safely.
- Evaluate employees and provide input regarding their retention or advancement.
- Correct employees as necessary, initiate discipline, and recommend suspensions and terminations.
- Address employee concerns and complaints, referring them to upper management when appropriate.
- Ensure employee attire aligns with company policy.
- Gather information from previous shift supervisors and communicate it to incoming supervisors.
- Check emails at the beginning and end of every shift.
- Manage production work assignments and complete necessary paperwork.
- Ensure production lines run efficiently and output meets management standards.
- Perform flavor changeovers and supervise involved employees.
- Follow Prerequisite and Food Safety Programs as required for audits.
- Supervise employees in the labor pool not assigned to production lines.
- Manage production areas according to Good Manufacturing Practices.
- Ensure timely delivery of supplies and materials to production lines.
- Coordinate with Quality Control and Maintenance on any issues that arise.
- Exercise independent judgment in dealing with problems on the lines.
- Enforce and adhere to all applicable policies and procedures.
- Ensure employees are properly trained on all production tasks.
- Ensure timely completion of quarterly training curriculum.
- Communicate with employees as needed.
- Required to follow the Good Manufacturing Program GMPs.
- Participation in various Food Safety related training is required.
- Report potential issues related to Food Safety.
- Exhibit a high level of ethical and moral conduct while at work.
- Engage in continuous self-improvement through training.
- Take precautions to protect the Company from damage or liabilities.
