Adecco are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Homeless Intervention and Prevention Team Leader to join a South-London Local Authority on a 12 month Fixed Term Contract. In this role, you will lead and improve the homelessness prevention service, ensuring financial efficiency and fostering strong partnerships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership: Guide and support a team of 8 officers to meet performance targets and service objectives.
- Operational Management: Implement service plans, manage temporary accommodation expenditure, and develop effective partnerships.
- Case Management: Supervise casework, handle complex cases, and ensure compliance with legal requirements.
- Financial Oversight: Oversee Homeless Prevention payments and emergency accommodation requests.
- Collaboration: Work with internal and external partners to enhance service delivery.
- Safeguarding: Ensure compliance with safeguarding policies and participate in multi-agency meetings.

- External: Local authorities, advice agencies, solicitors, police, probation services, registered social landlords, MPs, and various support services.
- Internal: Adult Social Care & Health, Children, Families & Education, Housing, Housing Benefit service, Sustainable Communities, Regeneration and Economic Recovery.
