Contract Hardware Engineer

We are currently looking for a full-time contractor for a rolling 6-month position with our client, a large entertainment company, at their office in Essex. This is a hardware role that involves performing general hardware engineering tasks on consumer electronics products.
Pls note it\’s an on-site role . Due to the nature of the products and test equipment, a regular presence in our client\’s location in Essex is required, with some flexibility to work from home when appropriate. The office is located a short train ride from the centre of London.
Requirements
We\’re on the lookout for a Hardware Engineer with the following skills and experience:

• Proficient in interpreting schematics and layouts – capable of identifying circuits and assisting with fault diagnosis, among other tasks
• Testing – familiar with oscilloscopes and similar equipment; primarily involved in supporting testing efforts and addressing bugs reported by software teams
• Experience using serial terminal applications & ideally knowledge of Python scripting
• Basic understanding of Wi-Fi and Bluetooth technologies
• Strong communication skills & a proactive attitude.
